You know I dreamed about you
for twenty-nine years before I saw you
You know I dreamed about you
I missed you for

cello song
Strange face, with your eyes
So pale and sincere.
Underneath you know well
You have nothing to fear.
For the dreams that came to you when so young
Told of a life
Where spring is sprung.
You would seem so frail
In the cold of the night
When the armies of emotion
Go out to fight.
But while the earth sinks to its grave
You sail to the sky
On the crest of a wave.
So forget this cruel world
Where I belong
I'll just sit and wait
And sing my song.
And if one day you should see me in the crowd
Lend a hand and lift me
To your place in the cloud.
Regina Spektor - Us (Lollapalooza 2007)
They made a statue of us
And it put it on a mountain top
Now tourists come and stare at us
Blow bubbles with their gum
Take photographs for fun, for fun

Summer: I love The Smiths.
Tom: [takes off headphones] Sorry?
Summer: I said I love The Smiths. You have a good taste in music.
Tom: You like The Smiths?
Summer: Yeah. “To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die.”

gaivota
Se uma gaivota viesse
Trazer-me o céu de lisboa
No desenho que fizesse,
Nesse céu onde o olhar
É uma asa que não voa,
Esmorece e cai no mar.
Que perfeito coração
No meu peito bateria,
Meu amor na tua mão,
Nessa mão onde cabia
Perfeito o meu coração.
Se um português marinheiro,
Dos sete mares andarilho,
Fosse quem sabe o primeiro
A contar-me o que inventasse,
Se um olhar de novo brilho
No meu olhar se enlaçasse.
Que perfeito coração
No meu peito bateria,
Meu amor na tua mão,
Nessa mão onde cabia
Perfeito o meu coração.
Se ao dizer adeus à vida
As aves todas do céu,
Me dessem na despedida
O teu olhar derradeiro,
Esse olhar que era só teu,
Amor que foste o primeiro.
Que perfeito coração
Morreria no meu peito,

Eu sei coisas. http://hiperbolica.blogs.sapo.pt/

Oh I love (oh I love) oh I love
What you do to my heart
When you push me back down
And then pull me apart.
I love what you do to my heart.
It’s the best
oh yeah
You’re the only one I cry for
The only one I try to please.
You’re the only one I sigh for
The only one I die to squeeze.
And it gets better everyday,
I play with you it’s such a scream.
Yeah it gets better everyday,
I say
With you it’s so extreme.
Yeah it gets wetter everyday,
I stay
With you it’s like a dream.

weather report
Cumulonimbus (Cb) is a type of cloud that is tall, dense, and involved in thunderstorms and other intense weather. It is a result of atmospheric instability. These clouds can form alone, in clusters, or along a cold front in a squall line. They create lightning throught the heart of the cloud. Cumulonimbus clouds form from cumulus clouds (namely from cumulus congestus) and can further develop into a supercell, a severe thunderstorm with special features.

Andrew Largeman: You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of the sudden even though you have some place where you can put your shit that idea of home is gone.
Sam: I still feel at home in my house.
Andrew Largeman: You'll see when you move out. It just sort of happens one day, one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I don't know maybe it's like this right of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for you kids, for the family you start. It's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place.

International Date Line #1
The International Date Line is an imaginary line drawn close to the 180th meridian to indicate the point where the date changes by one day on a transpacific voyage. East of the line it is one day earlier than it is to the west. This happens because time everywhere in the world is measured from Greenwich Mean Time, which lies at 0 degrees longitude, which is also known as the prime meridian. Every 15 degrees of longitude is equivalent to one hour. Moving westwards 180 degrees from Greenwich, travellers lose 12 hours; moving eastwards they gain 12 hours. As a result at longitude 180 degrees west (which is the same as 180 degrees east) there is a difference of 24 hours, or one day. In order to avoid crossing land at any point, the International Date Line curves eastwards of the 180th meridian around Siberia, westwards around the Aleutian Islands, and eastwards around Fiji Islands and New Zealand.© & (p) 1995-2000

so sorry
I'm sorry
Two words I always think
After you've gone
When I realize I was acting all wrong
So selfish
So selfish
Two words that could describe
Oh actions of mine
When patience is in short supply
We don't need to say goodbye
We don't need to say goodbye
We don't need to fight and cry
Oh we, we could hold each other tight tonight
We're so helpless
We're so helpless
We're slaves to our impulses
We're afraid of our emotions
And no one knows where the shore is
We're divided by the ocean
And the only thing I know is
That the answer isn't for us
No the answer isn't for us
I'm sorry
I'm sorry
Two words I always think
Oh after you've gone
When I realize I was acting all wrong
We don't need to say goodbye
We don't need to say goodbye
We don't need to fight and cry
We, we could hold each other tight tonight
Tonight Tonight Tonight
Tonight...

cuts you up - peter murphy
I find you in the morning
After dreams of distant signs
You pour yourself over me
Like the sun through the blinds
You lift me up
And get me out
Keep me walking
But never shout
Hold the secret close
I hear you say
You know the way
It throws about
It takes you in
And spits you out
It spits you out
When you desire
To conquer it
To feel you're higher
To follow it
You must be clean
With mistakes
That you do mean
Move the heart
Switch the pace
Look for what seems out of place
After dreams of distant signs
You pour yourself over me
Like the sun through the blinds
You lift me up
And get me out
Keep me walking
But never shout
Hold the secret close
I hear you say
You know the way
